Dr. Tiana Coleman-Jones

Assistant Principal over International Baccalaureate MYP and DP Programmes

Dr, Tiana Coleman-Jones, who is the administrator that oversees the IB programme at Jones High School, attended Indiana University earning a Bachelor's of Science in Education. She taught English in the secondary classroom. She went on to earn a Master's of Science in Educational Leadership at Nova Southeastern University. She also earned her Doctor of Education degree at Nova Southeastern University.

Dr. Coleman enjoys interacting with students. Her hobbies include traveling around the world, extreme couponing, and reading.

Mrs. Nicole Blackmon is a Florida native who grew up on the Space Coast. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelors in Secondary Social Science Education. Throughout her 20 years in education, she has taught world cultures, world history and design. Mrs. Blackmon is a Lead Educator for the IB. She trains teachers and evaluates IB schools across the world. Currently, Mrs. Blackmon is the President of the Florida League of IB Schools. Her motto in life is "Be the change you wish to see in the world".

Ms. Olutoyin Adefala

Mrs. Olutoyin Adefala is from Nigeria, in West Africa. She hasbachelor's degree in French from the University of Benin, Lomé inTogo, West Africa and a master's degree from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. She has certification in French and Social Science. She taught French and English Literature in a high school in Nigeria for four years before coming to the United States.

Mrs. Diana Escandon Moreno

Ms. Escandon is from Colombia in South America. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages from Surcolombiana University in Neiva-Huila, Colombia. Ms. Escandon earned her master's degree inEducation at La Sabana University in Bogota Colombia. Ms. Escandon has been teaching for 17 years (15 in Colombia as an English teacher). She also speaks French.

Mr. David Ricklick

IB Theatre

David Ricklick serves as the IB Theater Teacher and Head Swim Coach at Jones High School. Mr. Ricklick has been involved in theatrical arts for 23 years, with over 92 full length productions under his belt. After graduating from Rollins College in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts (Theater Arts Major, French and Dance minors); he spent several years traveling the countryworking at such theaters as The Cape Playhouse for Performing Arts, The New School for Drama, The Depot Theater, Unto These Hills, and The Denver Center for Performing Arts. After returning home to Orlando, he served as a classroom assistant at South Lake Montessori School, while continuing to produce theater at Moonlight Players Theater, Melon Patch Theater, Mad Cow Theater, Orlando ShakespeareTheater, and The Orlando Fringe Festival. He has professional theatrical experience as Director, Stage Manager, Deck Manager, Company Manager, Wardrobe, Electrician, Actor, and Dancer. Mr. Ricklick has loved his past four years teaching and learning at Jones High School.

Mrs. Markita Rina

Mrs. Markita Rina is from Sanford, FL and graduated from Lake Mary High School in 1994. She received a B.S. degree in Studio Art fromFlorida State University in 1998 where she participated in theInternational Studies Program and studied Art History in Florence Italy. She just completed her 20th year of teaching and her 12th year at Jones High School where she has been teaching in the IB program since 2010.

Mrs. Andrea Green

Mrs. Andrea Green received a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from the Florida A & M University in 1993 and has been a Music Educator for the Orange County Public Schools for the past 27 years. Mrs. Green is a member of the Florida Music EducatorsAssociation, Florida Vocal Association, National Association for Music Education and American Choral Directors Association. Mrs. Green has taught music on the elementary and middle school levels and is now teaching at the high school level.

Mr. Bruce Green

Mr. Bruce Green was born and raised in East St. Louis, Illinois. He went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from Bethune-Cookman College/University in 1997 and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix. He has been a Music Educator for Orange County Public Schools for the past 24 years. Mr. Green is a member of the Florida Music Educators Association, Florida Bandmaster Association, National Association for Music Education, and Kappa Kappa Psi Honorary Music Fraternity. Mr. Green has taught music on the elementary, middle, and high school levels.

Mr. Thomas Bryan

Mr. Thomas Bryan is a graduate of Jones High School and North Carolina State University with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was a mechanical engineer for 20 years, where he was part of the design team for projects such as Universals Studios Jurassic park as well as Amway Arena, and Orlando International Airport. He became a teacher at Jones High school in 2011. Since then he has taught IB Mathematical studies, IB Applications andInterpretations, Calculus, Physics, and Precalculus.

Ms. Amozene Lambert

Mrs. Amozene Lambert was born and raised in Polk County,

Florida. She graduated from FSU with a degree in marketing. Mrs. Lambert then served in the military for five years. She received her M.Ed in Secondary Mathematics while stationed in Georgia.

She has taught in California, Texas, and Florida for a total of 22.5 years, the last six years at Jones High School. While at Jones, Mrs, Lambert has taught Algebra 1, Precalculus, AP Statistics, AP Calculus, and IB DP Math Studies (Year 1).

SCIENCE

Mrs. Sharon Agawin

Ms. Sharon Agawin grew up in Manila, the capital city of the Philippines.

She graduated with a BS in Physics for Teachers at Philippines Normal University. She has a master's degree in Maritime Education and Training also as a scholar. She has completed all academic requirements for Master of Education Major in Physics at the De La Salle University in Manila. She started teaching Physics in 2000. She has also taught Research and Mathematics in the Philippines. She wrote a book entitled, "Heat and Thermodynamics with Maritime Applications" which was published in 2019 in the Philippines. She came here to Jones High School in 2017 as a participant to a Cultural Exchange Program.

Dr. Brittnaie Bell Wade

Brittnaie Bell Wade was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas where she graduated from Parkview Science/Arts Magnet High School. I received a Bachelors of Science degree, majoring in chemistry and minoring in biology, from the University of Central Arkansas. She attended the University of South Carolina and where she successfully defended her dissertation on topics of biophysical chemistry and received a doctor of philosophy in chemistry. She originally obtained her teaching certificate in South Carolina before transferring to Florida. She is also also National Board Certified to teach adolescent science courses. She has taught high school and college level physical science, environmental science, and biology.

Mr. Demarcus Fry

Demarcus Fry has been teaching since 2014. He has a diverse teaching history which includes the following courses: Biology, Chemistry, Algebra, Advanced Placement Environmental Science and African American History. Mr. Fry has been a proud Jones High School teacher since August 2018. Hebegan teaching IB Biology at the Higher Level in August 2019.

Mr. Fry earned his B.S. in Biological Sciences from Ohio University (Athens, Ohio) on a full academic scholarship, in 2014. He majored in biological sciences and minored in chemistry.

Mr. James Masters

IB Sports, Exercise, and Health Science

James Masters was born and raised in Orlando, Florida where he graduated from the Home of the Pioneers: Oak Ridge High in 1995. Attending Troy University, he received a Bachelor's of Science in Sports Medicine in 2000. He completed the Board of Certification from the National Athletic Trainers'Association in 2001 which nationally recognizes him as a certified athletic trainer with a State of Florida license to practice shortly thereafter. In 2014 while working part-time at Jones High he was asked to become the head athletic trainer thus thrusting him into the world of education where in 2020 he would be honored to be selected as Jones High "Teacher of the Year". Mr. Masters has always wanted to build a sports medicine program at the high school level. He teachesInternational Baccalaureate Sports, Exercise, and Health Science.

Mr. Avanish Jaglal

Mr. Avanish Jaglal was born in Trinidad; he and his familymigrated to the United States 21 years ago. He earned his high school diploma at Evans High School, graduating in the top 20 in his class. Mr. Jaglalreceived an AA degree from Valencia Community College and then advanced to UCF where he earned a B.A. in Social Sciences with four minors: PoliticalScience, Sociology, Women and Gender Studies, and Psychology.

Mr. Carl Green

Mr. Green was born in Connecticut but raised in North Carolina. He studied English Literature at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before following love to Florida. He is now married with a single daughter, a passle of students, and a sense of obligation to a world that has been kinder than it could have been to himself and those he loves.

Mrs. Sharon Williford

Mrs, Sherry Williford counts Gainesville, Florida as her hometown. A graduate of Gainesville High School, she attended the University of Florida and Palm Beach Atlantic University, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree. She has lived in Orlando for the last 38 years. Mrs, Williford is a "career changer" who has been teaching English across secondary grade levels for 14 years. Mrs. Williford loves football,baseball, dogs, her children, history, students, and books. It is her great pleasure to put the right book in the right hands and grow readers.

Mr. Brandon Williams earned an IB Diploma with 32 points in 2010 from DeLand High School. He attended the University of Central Florida and earned two degrees in 3 years: one in Political Science and one in Spanish.

Mr. Williams began teaching IB Spanish 3 and 4 in 2014 at Jones High School. In 2015 he became and Examiner/grader for the IBO and marks exams for Spanish B SL every spring. After several years of in the classroom he became the school's Media Specialist.

Mr. Williams enjoys reading, Podcast listening, walking his dog, and learning about everything.
