Teen Xpress Wellness on Wheels
Children of all ages deserve a safe place to receive care. And research has shown that students who use school-based health centers have reduced absenteeism and tardiness.
That’s why Teen Xpress offers a free mobile health clinic for uninsured or under-insured at-risk youth. Our mobile health unit provides a variety of services at Jones High School, including:
- Physical exams (such as annual check-ups)
- Immunizations
- Vision screenings
- Help finding dental care
- Mental health counseling (for depression, stress and more)
- Nutrition counseling
- Treatment for common illnesses (colds, sore throats, asthma, etc.)
- Sports physicals
In-Depth Diagnoses
Teen Xpress also can help identify early signs of more complex health issues, such as diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure and more. If necessary, the mobile health clinic can connect teens and families to specialty physicians who treat adolescents with more complicated medical problems.
