Nicole Blackmon
Nicole Blackmon, IB MYP and DP Coordinator and IB History Teacher.

Mrs. Nicole Blackmon is a Florida native who grew up on the Space Coast. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelors in Secondary Social Science Education. Throughout her 20 years in education, she has taught world cultures, world history and design. Mrs. Blackmon is a Lead Educator for the IB. She trains teachers and evaluates IB schools across the world. Currently, Mrs. Blackmon is the President of the Florida League of IB Schools. Her motto in life is "Be the change you wish to see in the world".

Mrs. Mege has earned a B.A in Education at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus and a Master's degree in Contemporary History, Research and Documentation at the "Université d'Angers" in France. She took Portuguese courses from Brazil and Portugal while in the graduate program in France. She wrote two theses on the point of view of the French Diplomacy in post-colonial Equatorial Guinea and post-World War II in Brazil. She has taught French, Spanish and World History at OCPS High schools.

Mrs. Rina
Art teacher Markita Rina
IB Visual Arts

Mrs. Markita Rina is from Sanford, FL and graduated from Lake Mary High School in 1994. She received a B.S. degree in Studio Art fromFlorida State University in 1998 where she participated in theInternational Studies Program and studied Art History in Florence Italy. She just completed her 20th year of teaching and her 12th year at Jones High School where she has been teaching in the IB program since 2010.

Michael Lioce teaches IB Film studies at Jones High School. Originally from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Mr. Lioce studied literature at Florida State University, and received his Master’s Degree in English From CUNY, Brooklyn College. While in New York, he began a career in television production and worked as a video editor for the last fourteen years, editing documentary style programming for Animal Planet, Discovery, I.D., Food Network, NatGeo, and TLC. Previously, Mr. Lioce taught ELA and creative writing at William T. Dwyer High School in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

Mr. Bryan
Mr. Thomas Bryan
Mathematics

Mr. Thomas Bryan is a graduate of Jones High School and North Carolina State University with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was a mechanical engineer for 20 years, where he was part of the design team for projects such as Universals Studios Jurassic park as well as Amway Arena, and Orlando International Airport. He became a teacher at Jones High school in 2011. Since then he has taught IB Mathematical studies, IB Applications and Interpretations, Calculus, Physics, and Precalculus.

Jayson Curry
Mathematics

Mr. Jayson Curry is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mathematics. He earned a Master’s of Science in Analytics from Louisiana State University. After working for 5 years in the corporate world with business intelligence, analytics, and data management softwares and training international teams on business practices, he decided to become a teacher and join his wife at Jones High School. He teaches IB Mathematics and PreCalculus.

Ms. Nafees Fatima-Hashani is from Boston, Massachusetts. She has a Masters degree in Health Administration and a Bachelor's of Science in Biomedical Sciences, both from UCF in Orlando, FL. She is currently the IB Physics 1 and 2 teacher. She has been teaching at the great Jones High School since 2020.

Dr. Bell Wade
Dr. Brittnaie Bell Wade
IB Chemistry

Brittnaie Bell Wade was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas where she graduated from Parkview Science/Arts Magnet High School. I received a Bachelors of Science degree, majoring in chemistry and minoring in biology, from the University of Central Arkansas. She attended the University of South Carolina and where she successfully defended her dissertation on topics of biophysical chemistry and received a doctor of philosophy in chemistry. She originally obtained her teaching certificate in South Carolina before transferring to Florida. She is also also National Board Certified to teach adolescent science courses. She has taught high school and college level physical science, environmental science, and biology.

Mr. Napoletano

Mr. Sergio Napoletano was born and raised in Middletown, New York. He began teaching Biology at Jones High since the 2022 academic school year. He graduated from Saint Leo University with a Bachelor of Science in biology and a Minor in chemistry in 2018. He also graduated from University of Central Florida with a Masters of Acquired Teaching (MAT) specializing in Science Education in 2021.

IB Sports, Exercise, and Health Science

James Masters was born and raised in Orlando, Florida where he graduated from the Home of the Pioneers: Oak Ridge High in 1995. Attending Troy University, he received a Bachelor's of Science in Sports Medicine in 2000. He completed the Board of Certification from the National Athletic Trainers'Association in 2001 which nationally recognizes him as a certified athletic trainer with a State of Florida license to practice shortly thereafter. In 2014 while working part-time at Jones High he was asked to become the head athletic trainer thus thrusting him into the world of education where in 2020 he would be honored to be selected as Jones High "Teacher of the Year". Mr. Masters has always wanted to build a sports medicine program at the high school level. He teachesInternational Baccalaureate Sports, Exercise, and Health Science.

Mr. Lewis
Grant Lewis
IB History of the Americas

Mr. Lewis is a Tennessean from a family of Central Floridians, specifically Jones High Graduates. After moving here from Knoxville Grant became a true Orlandoan. Mr. Lewis is an IB Graduate from Winter Park High School and went on to receive his Bachelor of Arts in The American Political Process from Vanderbilt University. Upon graduating from college Mr. Lewis moved back to Central Florida working in Nonprofits, Politics and Big 4 consulting. Mr. Lewis finally found his calling as a History Teacher and considers Jones his true home.  This is his third year teaching and every moment has been a joy.

Mr. Green was born in Connecticut but raised in North Carolina. He studied English Literature at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before following love to Florida. He is now married with a single daughter, a passle of students, and a sense of obligation to a world that has been kinder than it could have been to himself and those he loves.

Mrs, Sherry Williford counts Gainesville, Florida as her hometown. A graduate of Gainesville High School, she attended the University of Florida and Palm Beach Atlantic University, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree. She has lived in Orlando for the last 38 years. Mrs, Williford is a "career changer" who has been teaching English across secondary grade levels for 14 years. Mrs. Williford loves football,baseball, dogs, her children, history, students, and books. It is her great pleasure to put the right book in the right hands and grow readers.

Media Specialist

Mr. Brandon Williams earned an IB Diploma with 32 points in 2010 from DeLand High School. He attended the University of Central Florida and earned two degrees in 3 years: one in Political Science and one in Spanish.

Mr. Williams began teaching IB Spanish 3 and 4 in 2014 at Jones High School. In 2015 he became an Examiner/grader for the IBO and marks exams for Spanish B SL every spring.  After several years in the classroom he became the school's Media Specialist. He is certified to teach Spanish K-12, English 6-12, and Social Science 6-12, in addition to being a certified Media Specialist.

Mr. Williams enjoys reading, Podcast listening, walking his dog, and learning about everything.
